Certification

At AVAIDENS, we believe fine jewelry should be purchased with complete confidence. That is why we offer certification options to help verify the quality and authenticity of your diamonds and jewelry.

What is a Diamond Certificate?

A diamond certificate, also known as a diamond grading report, is an official document issued by a recognized gemological laboratory after a diamond has been carefully examined, graded, and evaluated by trained professionals.

This certificate confirms the key characteristics of the diamond and helps customers make informed decisions with clarity and trust.

What Does a Diamond Certificate Include?

A diamond certificate typically records the essential characteristics of a diamond, including:

  • Carat Weight
  • Shape
  • Measurements
  • Color
  • Clarity
  • Cut
  • Polish
  • Symmetry
  • Fluorescence
  • Comments and identifying characteristics

These details provide an independent assessment of the diamond’s quality.

Recognized Diamond Certification Laboratories

We can facilitate certification through internationally recognized gemological laboratories, including:

  • GIA – Gemological Institute of America
  • AGSL – American Gem Society Laboratories
  • EGL – European Gemological Laboratory
  • IGI – International Gemological Institute
  • HRD – Hoge Raad voor Diamant

These laboratories are widely known in the jewellery industry for evaluating and certifying diamonds and gemstones.

About the Leading Laboratories

GIA – Gemological Institute of America

Founded in 1931, GIA is one of the world’s most respected authorities in gemology. It developed the internationally accepted 4Cs grading system — Cut, Clarity, Color, and Carat Weight — which remains the global benchmark for diamond evaluation.

AGSL – American Gem Society Laboratories

Founded in 1934, AGSL is known for its strict grading standards and strong reputation in diamond quality analysis, particularly in cut grading.

EGL – European Gemological Laboratory

EGL is a recognized laboratory known for issuing grading reports for diamonds and gemstones across various international markets.

IGI – International Gemological Institute

Established in 1975 in Antwerp, Belgium, IGI is one of the largest independent gemological laboratories in the world. It is widely known for certifying diamonds, coloured stones, and finished jewellery.

HRD – Hoge Raad voor Diamant

Founded in 1973 in Antwerp, HRD is another globally respected authority in diamond grading and certification, offering detailed analysis of a diamond’s quality characteristics.

Certification on Request

At AVAIDENS, customers may request certification for their jewellery depending on the product, design, and diamond specifications.

For jewellery purchases, especially custom-made and personalized pieces, please note:

  • Jewellery production generally takes 15 to 21 business days
  • If third-party certification is requested, the certification process may require an additional 5 to 9 business days
  • Final delivery timelines may vary depending on the selected certificate and laboratory processing time

Because certification is completed by independent third-party laboratories, timelines are subject to their processing schedules.

If Certification Is Not Requested

If a third-party certificate is not requested at the time of purchase, your jewellery will still be accompanied by an official sales receipt/invoice.

We recommend keeping your sales receipt safely, as it serves as proof of purchase and is important for future service, support, or certification requests.

Additional Certification After Purchase

If you wish to obtain an additional certificate after receiving your jewellery, the piece must be submitted back to our factory/workshop for inspection and processing.

Please note:

  • Additional certification is subject to feasibility based on the jewellery design and stone setting
  • Shipping, handling, certification, and related service charges may apply
  • Processing timelines will depend on the selected laboratory and the condition of the jewellery when received

Important Notes

  • Certification is available upon request
  • Not all jewellery pieces automatically include third-party certification unless specifically mentioned or requested
  • Customised jewellery may require additional time for certification
  • The original sales invoice should always be retained with your purchase
  • AVAIDENS facilitates certification requests, while grading and reports are issued solely by the independent gemological laboratory

Luxury Promise

Every AVAIDENS piece is crafted with attention to detail, quality, and authenticity. Whether you request certification at the time of purchase or later, our team is here to guide you through the process with complete transparency.
